Elisabeth Almonte is a final-year undergraduate student completing a double degree in Music (Performance) and Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience) at Adelaide University. An active chamber musician, she has participated in several ASQ string quartet chamber weekends at Elder Hall. Elisabeth was principal cellist of the Wesley College Orchestra and winner of her high school concerto competition, performing the Elgar Concerto at the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre. Coming from a large extended family, she has always had a love of music and especially enjoys spending time with children. She previously worked as an assistant tap dance teacher for the Junior Classes and currently works as a Residential Advisor at St Ann’s College in Adelaide. Elisabeth is especially excited to return to the Riverina Summer School for Strings. She first came as a student on cello to the summer school in 2018 and some of her happiest summer memories and earliest orchestral experiences began there.
